Dr. Jizhong Zhu is a recipient of the National Overseas High-Level Talent Introduction Program. He is an Academician of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, a Foreign Academician of the Bologna Academy of Sciences (Italy), an IEEE Fellow (Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), a Foreign Fellow of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering (CSEE), an IET Fellow (Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, UK), an AAIA Fellow (Fellow of the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association), an AIIA Fellow (Fellow of the International Alliance for Artificial Intelligence in Industry), a Royal Society Fellow (Fellow of the Royal Society, UK), and a Guangzhou Innovation Leading Talent. He serves as a Professor and PhD Supervisor at South China University of Technology, and an Adjunct Professor and PhD Supervisor at Chongqing University.
His current appointments include: Chair of the IEEE PES Technical Committee on Smart Buildings, Loads, and Customer Systems (China); Editorial Board Member of international journals such as MPCE; Chair of the IEEE P2781 International Standard Working Group on Load Modeling and Simulation; Chair of the IEEE P2783 International Standard Working Group on Fast Load Response Systems; Member of the IEEE SMC Standards Committee and the IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Smart Power and Energy Systems; Member of the China-Switzerland Smart Grid Technology Expert Committee; and Member of the National Expert Committee on Power Demand Side Management Standards.
Previously, he has held roles including: Member of the Evaluation Committee for the First National Innovation and Excellence Award; Review Expert for national, provincial, and municipal talent programs and projects; Chair of the IEEE Power Load Subcommittee (USA); and Chair of the IEEE SBLC Asia-Pacific Working Group.
